Heavy Self Colour Steel Pipe

Heavy-walled self-colour mild steel pipe and tube to BS EN 10255, also known as black, plain or unfinished steel tube is available to order here on our website in 6.5m full random lengths with plain ends. Our medium walled self-colour EN 10255 tube is available sizes between 1/2" (15mm) and 6” (150mm) nominal bore and was previously known as BS 1387 steel tube.

Self-colour tube is ideal for use by those wishing to weld or coat the material due to it not having a pre-applied coating or finish, we find it’s often used in similar installations to red-oxide painted tube, this includes low-pressure process steam installations, fuel and oil lines, fire sprinkler systems and more. All of this material is of European origin, dual certified to BS EN 10217-1:2002, fully traceable back to the manufacturer and can be supplied with 3.1 mill test certification. All of our BS EN 10255:2004 steel pipe and tube has been manufactured by Yucel Boru or Borusan Mannesmann and is compliant with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
