Check Valves

Check valves are simple devices, they allow the flow of liquid or gas to pass through them unimpeded in one direction but will close to prevent backflow or reverse flow, they’re effectively a large scale one-way valve which prevents a system backing up. We offer check valves from Genebre and Albion with three main types of closing mechanism, the swing, spring and piston type. The operating principle for each is much the same, the valve mechanism is opened by flow the desired direction, while flow in the opposite direction (backflow) forces the valve mechanism to close.

We offer check valves in a huge range of sizes as well as a number of body materials including stainless steel, bronze, forged carbon steel, cast iron, brass as well as others, our range also includes check valves with a number of connection types including threaded, press-fit, flanged and wafer type for installation between flanges.
