Thermostatic Steam Traps

We offer a selection of thermostatic steam traps from TLV, this includes the L, LV and LEX series which are available with BSPT taper threaded or BS EN 1092-1 flanged ends. Also known as a balanced pressure or temperature control traps, the operating principle for these traps is based on the temperature difference between the steam and condensate.

This range includes the L21S, L32S, LV13L, LV13N & LV21 all of which use a thermo-liquid filled X-element which discharges hot air and rapidly discharges cold air and condensate on start-up. These traps all feature a built-in strainer and fail-open mechanism. The TLV LEX3N-TZ temperature control trap uses a bi-metal element to discharge condensate at the users desired temperature.
