Thermodynamic Steam Traps

We offer a range of disc type thermodynamic steam traps from TLV, this includes the A3N, P21S & P46SRN. These steam traps work by utilising the difference in thermodynamic properties between condensate and steam. The pressure and temperature drop caused by condensate entering the trap opens the valve disc to automatically discharge condensate, once the condensate has been discharged, the valve closes.

Our thermodynamic steam traps all use features such as an insulated pressure chamber to reduce steam losses due to cold air or rain, they also feature built-in strainers, in-line replaceable valve modules as well as bi-metallic automatic air vents which allow rapid discharge of cold condensate and air for a quick start up.
