Stainless Steel Press Fittings Potable Water Installations

The standard range of stainless steel press fittings from ValvesTubesFittings.com is WRAS approved and suitable for use on potable water installations in the United Kingdom and the European Union. It does seem odd separating the UK from the EU but in the days to come, that is exactly how it will be and who knows how the coming separation will affect all the standards we are currently used to. Will BS EN returning to plain BS and will it mean that UK standards diminish across the World or flourish to become the benchmark they were in past times; as our exit from the European Union takes shape this will hopefully become clearer. Apologies for digressing from the subject matter of this Blog, the material we offer in stainless steel press fittings and tube are all manufactured from 316 stainless steel, the standard fittings for potable water have EPDM seals with other seal material available on request; contact us for price and delivery today.

Stainless Steel Press Fittings Natural Gas Installations

For gas installations using stainless steel press fittings the pipe and the fittings are the same types used to complete other installations, the only difference is the seals; for potable water installations the standard EPDM seals are in use but for gas installations, we supply a fitting complete with factory fitted HNBR gaskets. Installed correctly, these products are approved for liquid petroleum and natural gas installations according to DVGW G260; for further information and or certification please contact our sales team. Please note that for 42mm and 54mm installations that the use of press jaws are not permitted, for these sizes, press snares must be used to complete a gas installation.
