Reducing Sockets
We offer black forged mild steel reducing sockets from stock, all of these pipe fittings are manufactured to BS EN 10241:2000 by Delcorte within Europe. Our EN 10241 black reducing sockets are female BSPP parallel threaded and available from stock in sizes up to 4” x 2 1/2” NB. These fittings are also commonly known as wrought iron fittings in line with the older BS 1740 standard.
BS EN 10241 steel fittings offer high tensile strength making them suitable for a range of processes and mediums, Black (self-colour) fittings are often installed with BS EN 10255 steel pipe to be used with low-pressure process steam, fuels and hot oils among others. These fittings are 25 bar (PN25) pressure rated with a maximum operating temperature of 230°C.
