Our brass compression fittings to BS EN 1254-2:1998 are designed to join copper tubes to BS EN 1057 and create a watertight seal without the need for any special tools, welding or flames. This makes installation a breeze, the only tool needed is a spanner. These compression fittings are WRAS approved for use on hot or cold water making them very popular in the plumbing and heating industry though they are suitable for other mediums such as oils, chemicals and low-pressure gas installations. Brass compression fittings can be installed in tight spaces or when water remaining inside the system makes soldering impossible, because of this they are an ideal alternative to solder ring pipe fittings although compression fittings cannot be used at pressures quite as high.
With our large range of brass compression fittings, we’ll almost certainly have the product you need to complete your installation. We can offer brass elbows, adapters, tees and much more in sizes up to 76mm as well as a small range of chrome plated fittings. Installation is simple, just insert the copper tube into the fitting and then tighten the nut with a spanner and the job is done. The fittings can even be reused if needed, all you’d need to do is replace the compression olive.
