Carbon Steel Flanges BS10:2009

Carbon steel flanges BS10:2009 are the earliest British Standard flange being first listed in 1904, more than two decades before the first ASME standard flanges were listed. We can offer this full range in plate and forged versions from sizes ½” (15mm) to 12” (300mm) from stock and larger sizes on longer deliveries. This versatile product has been used by British industry since the 1900s and was meant to be replaced by carbon steel flanges BS4504:1969, the metric flange as it was known (now DIN flange EN 1092-1) was brought in to be used instead of the faithful BS10 but this has never really happened and are still used on many sites in the UK and across the world today.

BS10:2009 carbon steel flanges are available in pressure ratings covered by the following table designations; BS10 table D (50lb), table E (100lb), table F (190lb) and table H (250lb). Other versions which are available still are BS10 table J, table K, table R, table S and table T although these are very rarely requested if ever.
