EN 10255 Steel Tube or BS1387 in the 21st Century

An installation using red-oxide primer painted steel tube to BS EN 10255, previously BS 1387BS EN 10255 steel tube was previously known as BS1387:1985 and before that started life as BS789:1938. This product is known in many guises some calling it gas list, blue band, red band, steam tube and other manufacturers refer to it as install. EN 10255 Steel Tube Pressure Systems

EN 10255 steel tube as I have said in the first paragraph can be found on many pressure systems across many industries; they include process steam, compressed air, water, sprinkler installations, brown water installations and natural gas pipework. For process steam and condense lines, heavy grade EN 10255 steel tube in red primer coated finish is what you would expect to see installed using wrought iron fittings to BS EN 10241:2000.
